Description
The Seagull by Anton Chekhov with a new adaptation and direction by Steven Young follows the story of Connor, a novice playwright, who loses his muse, Nina, to a successful rival. His obsession with Nina fuels his art and muddies the distinction between love, compulsion, and the written word. Set in Gulfport, Mississippi in the Depression era, this comic masterpiece is filled with song and will have you teetering between laughter and tears. This production of The Seagull is being entered in the Kennedy Center American Theatre Festival (KCACTF) competition. This is a SOAD Culture Card Event.
