Description
On this Outdoor Adventure wellness program, students will learn about and experience the wellness benefits of interacting with horses. Participants will first learn basic safety information about how to engage with a horse so as to minimize stress for the animal and to reduce risk to themselves. Students will have the opportunity to engage in activities including petting, brushing, and spending time with a horse. No previous experience with horses is required.
We anticipate leaving the Fitness & Recreation Center on the Denton Campus at 12:30 pm and should return around 2:00 pm. Transportation will be provided. Estimated time: 2 hours. Reservations required (up to 15 TWU students) on a first come, first served basis.
